1. V trdilnem stavku will future čas
tvorim tako, da za osebnim zaimkom
(ali imenom oziroma nazivom stvari, živali ...),
ki stoji na začetku stavka,
postavim pomožnik (modalni glagol) WILL
in glavni glagol v osnovni obliki.
Pomožnik WILL v slovenščino prevajamo
kot bom, boš, bo, bova, bosta, bomo, boste in bodo.
WILL lahko uporabimo tudi v krajši obliki 'll :
I'll, you'll, he'll, she'll, it'll, we'll in they'll.
PRIMERI:
I will help John. / I'll help John.
You will go home. / You'll go home.
It will rain tomorrow. / It'll rain tomorrow.
kateri zaimek postavimo predenj:
2. Modalni glagol WILL je POMOŽNIK,
njegov namen je, da pomaga. Kako?
a) Pomožnik WILL sporoča,
da smo v prihodnjem času (will future tense).
b) Pomaga pri ZANIKANJU in POSTAVLJANJU VPRAŠANJ.
Pri zanikanju pomaga tako,
da nase veže angleško besedo za zanikanje NOT.
WILL lahko zanikamo na daljši način: WILL NOT.
Zanikamo ga lahko tudi na krajši način: WON'T.
PRIMERI:
I will not do my homework. / I won't do my homework.
You will not borrow my car. / You won't borrow my car.
Our team will not lose. / Our team won't lose.
kateri zaimek postavimo predenj:
Pri postavljanju vprašanj pomožnik WILL pomaga tako,
da ga postavimo na začetek vprašanja (DA / NE vprašanja)
ali takoj za vprašalnico (who, where, when, why...)
pri informativnih vprašanjih.
PRIMERI:
